How to collect a pencil case

A bathroom is not the richest free space, and there are enough items that are stored there. Most people have laundry detergent, soap, brushes and other household and hygiene items in this room. To streamline all this and came up with special wardrobe cases. They are so named because their height is much larger than the width. This design allows pencil cases with significant space savings to be quite roomy. Another plus of the presence of this furniture in the bathroom is the ability to hide personal items from prying eyes.

Bathroom Furniture Requirements

The bathroom differs from others not only in its size. High humidity and temperature changes have a detrimental effect on furniture. The main requirements for a cabinet-pencil case in the bathroom are:

  • resistance to high temperatures;
  • protection against moisture penetration;
  • mold resistance;
  • strength;
  • compactness.

ATTENTION! The material that will be used to assemble the pencil case needs special attention. The problem is that uncoated wood and non-chrome iron will quickly deteriorate.

The best materials for furniture in the bathroom will be:

  1. Chipboard. Laminated chipboard is well suited for this purpose. The widespread and low cost of this material will be a definite plus. The chipboard coating is waterproof. The only thing you need to pay serious attention to is the quality of the edge closure of the edges.
  2. Tree. This material will cost more, and work with it more. For use in the bathroom, it will need to be coated with waterproof paint.
  3. MDF. Suitable with moisture resistant impregnation. The best, but at the same time the most expensive option will be MDF lined with acrylic panels.
  4. Plywood. A good choice. Moisture protection in the form of paint and impregnation will be required.

All of the above materials are good, but the best choice in terms of price / quality ratio is particleboard.

What are the cases in the bathroom

Depending on the situation, the amount of free space, the placement of bathrooms, you need to determine the type of cabinet for the bathroom. The most common types of pencil cases are:

  1. Hinged. It takes up little space, can be installed over other bathroom interior items. Secured to the wall using furniture awnings or mounting plate.
  2. Floor. Standard wardrobe. It is desirable to install it on the legs, otherwise the bottom of the structure will deteriorate.
  3. Angular. It may be convenient in some cases. For example, in the corner near the door.

REFERENCE! The door of any of the above types of cabinets can be equipped with a mirror. This will improve its appearance and make it more functional.

If you decide to assemble a cupboard case with your own hands, first of all you need to take care of the tool and materials. For quick and quality work you will need the following:

The next step after collecting all the necessary tools, will be the creation of the scheme. The first step is to determine the size and number of shelves. Next, draw a drawing on paper. On it indicate the dimensions of each side.

Having well-made drawings, you can go to the furniture materials store, where they will cut the necessary details from the chipboard. If you wish, you can do this yourself by drawing lines on the material with a pencil and cutting everything out with a jigsaw or saw.

The final step is to finish the product. To do this, you can use a self-adhesive film or ordinary waterproof paint.

Cabinet mount

If the cabinet design includes legs, then its installation should not raise questions. The main thing is that everything be adjusted in height, and he does not stagger.

Mounting on a mounting rail is the easiest option, however, it costs more. To do this, you need to attach a bracket to the wall, and hooks that come with the cabinet to the cabinet. After just hang the product in place.

If you chose furniture canopies as a fastener, you will need an assistant, since it will be problematic to hang up a pencil case yourself. For fastening on awnings, you need to drill a hole in the wall, install a special hook there. After attach the canopy to the product. Replace it, align and mark the position of the second mount. Next, do the same as with the first and hang a pencil case.
