How to remove offline printer

Printers are used for printing in offices, at various enterprises and at home. Constant improvement of technologies allowed creating a huge range of printing equipment. In specialized stores you can find various options for printers - from budget models to professional equipment.

If you have recently purchased a printer, there may be some questions about using it. Often there is a problem when the device goes into sleep or offline mode, in which it is impossible to print. How to fix the situation?

To understand the algorithm for eliminating the problem that has arisen, it is necessary to know exactly the reason for the transition to the autonomous mode of operation. This can occur if you accidentally activate or change the system settings. The most common reasons for the printer going to sleep are:

  1. Incomplete USB connection of the wire or its discharge in the process of moving equipment.
  2. The problem with the paper used, its absence or jam. In some models, it is necessary to prepare at least 5 sheets for recognition and starting work.
  3. Random activation of offline mode.
  4. Lack of color in the cartridge. Typically, the system notifies you in a special dialog box in the lower right corner.
  5. Hanging up or overheating of the device.
  6. Lack of relevant software components, drivers. Sometimes the reason may be an outdated version of drivers and software.
  7. The virus has entered the computer.
  8. Mechanical damage, as a result of which chips and motherboards deteriorated.

IMPORTANT! Carefully inspect the printer and make a thorough diagnosis of the equipment. For accurate and quick troubleshooting, you can contact the service center.

If you managed to find the cause that caused the equipment to go into sleep mode, you can proceed to eliminate it. In general, the algorithm for setting and restoring the functions of the printer will depend on what exactly led to its transition to an autonomous state. Perform the following recovery operations:

  1. Inspect all wires for connecting to a computer and connecting to a power source. Connect them tightly and replace them if damaged.
  2. Assess the status of paper fed into the printer. Remove the whole sheets and pieces of jammed paper, then carefully insert everything into place. Start printing again.
  3. Check the availability and amount of ink in the cartridges. This can be done visually or with the help of a special item in the print status menu. Refill them if necessary.
  4. Go to the settings menu of the printer and turn off offline mode, if it was set as the main function.
  5. In the case of an outdated version of drivers and programs, download all the necessary updates, install them on your Windows computer, and then restart the system.
  6. If the print queue hangs, try reloading it and updating it.

With proper implementation of the above steps, the printer should restore normal operation.

If the problem persists, and the equipment does not come out of sleep mode, contact the seller. They will provide you with qualified assistance.
